Emergency Rescue

Here at Bali Study Club, with the help of Victor and Jon, we have implemented a new type of class for the older children from the ages of 15 to 19 years old to participate in. In Bali there are many obstacles we come across and many of them have no health and safety policies in play. In a land where there are many mountains, canyons, coconut trees at a great height, there are many problems we can come across so this program is as important as any.

Other tourists come here and set up programs for activities such as canyoning but at a cost of 150 Euro per person it is impossible for the local people to join in these activities. There are also many mountains and if there is an accident then the people are not properly equipped to deal with these emergency situations.

In providing this free course for children we will be helping them work safely and securely. We will also be implementing a first aid class and with this whole package in place it will mean that they will also be able to help any emergencies that occur in the area and respond quickly and safely, a program that Bali Study Club is more than happy to help facilitate.

Mountain and Canyon Rescue

The mountain rescue program is to provide the local people with the correct methods and training to help people in many ways. In a land that is vast of canyons, mountains and ravines, it is possible that an accident can occur at any time. Having the right equipment and the correct training can mean all the difference when it comes to having to save someone’s life. This may or may not happen very often but to know that if ever the occasion does arise then the right people will be able to help.

This is not just a hobby for Jon and Victor but they take this very seriously, something you have to do when being as professional as these two people are.

As part of them exploring the area, they both climbed, trekked and abseiled their way through Git Git, the highest waterfall which was part of the adventure for them, was around 45 meters high.

Here are some pictures and videos of them exploring the area and showing their expertise.

Coconut Removal

Here there are also many many coconut trees. It is the job of many people around Bali to climb the tree’s and remove the coconuts and this is often done with no safety training and no security in place. Coconut tree’s are often situated high above house rooftops and this means when they fall they often cause a lot of damage to the properties below….even people resulting in death, not only for the people unlucky enough for one to drop on them but also the people who climb the tree’s to help prevent this from happening.
